This piece is a parody of a fundamentalist pamphlet I came across. The pamphlet had a very basic illustration of a boy and a girl praying directly under the crucified Jesus. I found it funny to amp up the contrast between the two kids and the crucifixion victim. The contrast reveals the gravity of the blood-atonement principle these children are being asked to process.
